Ledger Badger · Shopify app

Find out why your deposit never matches.

Ledger Badger takes every Shopify Payments payout apart and explains it to the cent: sales, tax, shipping, discounts, refunds, fees, chargebacks, reserves and gift cards. Then it hands you a monthly close package for your accountant.

Coming soon to the Shopify App Store

Read only. It never changes your store and never reads customer names, emails or addresses.

Why it exists

Shopify pays you what's left over.

A payout is several days of sales minus card fees, refunds, chargebacks and reserves, and part of what customers paid was sales tax that belongs to the state. That's why the number in your bank never matches your sales report. Ledger Badger shows every step.

Collected in sales and tax$168.99
Card processing fees-$5.20
Chargeback and chargeback fee-$99.80
Deposited to your bank$63.99

Ties to the cent

Every payout is checked against the transactions inside it. If something doesn't add up, it's held and explained instead of guessed.

Monthly close package

A PDF and spreadsheets with sales tax by state, gift card activity and money still on its way to your bank.

Plain English

Written for store owners, not accountants. Your accountant still gets the summary entry they need.
